Newly developed Senior Secondary Courses are reviewed by the Department for Education, Children and Young People using a risk analysis protocol that focuses on analysing the impact of identified issues on student attainment and teaching and learning.
Issues considered include:
* misalignment in complexity
* inability to deliver/execute content or assessment.
Criteria considered include impact on:
* student demonstrations of understanding.
Scope of subsequent action will be determined by:
* opportunities for mitigation
