Careerify
Careerify is a student-centred career information website for Years 9 – 12 students in Tasmania. It is managed by the Years 9-12 Learning in the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP). Careerify supports young people in their career choices. In addition, Careerify provides valuable resources for parents/ guardians and teachers.
DECYP’s subject matter experts work with qualified career practitioners on articles and activities. The articles, processes and activities on the website are evidence-based in career development theory. That means, they are proven through solid research to be effective or useful.
The purpose of Careerify is to:
- produce career content that is clear and easy to understand
- produce useful and relevant evidence-based content
- empower students to acquire the skills and knowledge to make career decisions
- give students the confidence to solve career problems both now and later in life
- make students feel happy when they reach their destination of choice
Industry and organisations are invited to list their career information events for Years 9-12 events on Careerify.
Year 11 and 12 Course Guide
The Year 11 and 12 Course Guide is designed to help students choose a planned program of learning for years 11 and 12.
Students can search by course, school or learning area and filter by year level and region.
Through the Course Guide, students can access detailed information about all the courses on offer at schools across Tasmania.
There is also information about schools and colleges, so that students can make contact with their prospective course provider.
