Packages of Learning (PoL) are resources designed for years 9 and 10 students. These were aligned to the Australian Curriculum V9.0 in 2023. They offer an integrated, practical approach to learning delivered through an industry focus area identified by Skills Tasmania.
Providers need to ensure that delivery of PoL meets their current requirements. All resources to deliver the PoL are available and outlined below.
Key industry focus areas
There are five industry focus areas:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources
- Architecture and Construction
- Health and Community Services
- Hospitality and Tourism.
Australian Curriculum
The Packages of Learning cover the following subjects from the Years 9 and 10 Australian Curriculum content, version 9.0:
- English
- History or Geography
- Mathematics
- Science
- Technologies
- Work Studies.
Schools may choose to deliver multiple Packages of Learning to meet the needs of their students.
