In response to The Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools, Senior Secondary Provision in liaison with Information Technology Services (ITS) and key stakeholders have developed Tasmania’s Policy and Procedure for DECYP schools both of which are available on the TLC website.
Additional supporting resources will be made available on the TLC website during the year.
DECYP Schools – A list of endorsed tools can be found on the DECYP Information Technology Services intranet site. These have been assessed for information privacy and security risks by the ITS Cyber Security team. Microsoft CoPilot has been assessed as low risk, although at this stage use is confined to staff contexts.
Non-DECYP schools – DECYP Information Technology Services are reviewing programs and Microsoft CoPilot has been assessed as low risk, although at this stage use is confined to staff contexts. Other AI applications assessed have received a higher risk rating at this time.
